The first time that I made these bad boys, I couldn’t believe that in only 25 minutes, I had fall-off-the-bone ribs that tasted just like they came off of the grill.

Look, I know you may be reading this like ‘yeah right!” – and I get it!

I once was skeptical of the magic that is the instant pot, but trust me, this is the recipe that will change your mind!

Here’s what you need to try it for yourself:

– Baby Back Ribs

– Rub (ingredients in the recipe)

– Water

– Worcestershire Sauce

– Apple Cider Vinegar

-Barbecue Sauce

-Liquid Smoke

The first thing you want to do is wash the ribs and remove the membrane that you can find on the back side of the ribs.

Pat your ribs dry with a paper towel and place them on a foil-lined baking sheet.

Next, it’s time to add the rub!

After a lot of trial and error, my hubby and I finally came up with the perfect combination of spices to use as our ‘rub’ for these ribs!

And y’all, it’s soooo good!

Once you’ve generously coated your ribs with the rub, add the liquid mixture to the bottom of the instant pot.

Next, put the steam rack inside and place your ribs on top.

Try your best to keep your ribs from touching the liquid at the bottom of the pan!

Cook your ribs on the manual setting for 25mins and allow the steam to naturally release for 10 minutes.

You could always do a quick release, but I found that doing the natural release first keeps the ribs nice and tender.

These ribs were so tender that they broke in half as we pulled them out of the Instant Pot!

The next few steps are crucial to getting that delicious, fresh-off-of-the-grill flavor.

First, turn to the broil setting on your oven.

Next, add the liquid smoke to your favorite barbecue sauce and mix well.

Then coat your ribs with the barbecue sauce mixture.

Once your ribs are good and saucy place them in the oven and broil them until you get a nice glaze on top.

Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs

Yield: 2lbs Of Baby Back Ribs
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2lbs Baby Back Ribs
  • 1 1/2 Cup of BBQ Sauce
  • 1tbsp Liquid Smoke
  • 1tbsp Parsley
  • 1tbsp Paprika
  • 1tbsp Onion Powder
  • 1tbsp Garlic Salt
  • 1tbsp Salt
  • 1tbsp Pepper
  • 3/4 Cup of Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1tbsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1tbsp Worcheshire Sauce

Instructions

  1. Wash ribs, remove membrane, pat dry with a paper towel and place on foil lined baking sheet.
  2. Create the rub (combine parsley, paprika, onion powder, garlic salt, salt, pepper, and light brown sugar and mix well.).
  3. Coat the front and back of ribs with the rub.
  4. Add water, apple cider vinegar, and worcheshire sauce to the Instant Pot.
  5. Place the steam rack inside on the Instant and put the ribs on top.
  6. Place lid on Instant Pot in the sealing position, press manual, and cook for 25 minutes.
  7. Do a 10 minute natural release and then quick release.
  8. Remove the ribs from the Instant Pot and place them on a clean foil lined baking sheet.
  9. Combine barbecue sauce and Liquid Smoke and mix well.
  10. Rub the barbecue sauce on the ribs and broil for 5 minutes.
  11. Remove from oven and serve.
