The new year is here and there is nothing more exciting than getting ready for The Big Game! That said, the way we celebrate Game Day may look a bit different this year but this Ultimate Tailgating Gift Basket is sure to keep things exciting! One of my favorite ways to keep the excitement and fun in some of our favorite festivities has been to create a fun themed gift basket – in this case, the Ultimate Tailgating Gift Basket!
Let’s face it, no matter how you enjoy The Big Game, no tailgate is complete without delicious snacks! Not to mention, there is no time like the present to get your snacks in order for all of your Game Day festivities.
Whenever I’m shopping for tailgating snacks (or really whenever I’m shopping in general), my store of choice is Publix! I don’t know about you guys but shopping at Publix is so peaceful for me. Publix stores are always clean, the staff is friendly, and I can always find everything I need, like my favorite PEPSI® and Frito-Lay products!
So without further ado, allow me to show you how you can create the Ultimate Tailgating Gift Basket for your fellow game day fanatics!
Grab A Basket
First things first, you need a sturdy base! You can use anything you can think of for this but, I highly recommend using something sturdy and sizable such as a basket or a cooler. For this tailgating basket, I decided to use this metal basket since it was large and sturdy enough to hold all of my Pepsi and Frito-Lay goodies.
It’s Time For Snacks
Next up, and most importantly, you need to make sure you fill your basket with plenty of delicious snacks. For these baskets, I stuck to some of my Pepsi and Frito-Lay favorites. For the beverages, I went with both the original Pepsi® and Pepsi® Zero Sugar. I also included limebubly™ and blackberrybubly™ sparkling water along with a few bottles of AQUAFINA® Purified Drinking Water.
For the snacks, I added some Doritos® Nacho Cheese Flavored Tortilla Chips, Tostitos® SCOOPS!® Tortilla Chips, Tostitos® Mild Chunky Salsa, and Smartfood® White Cheddar Popcorn. We all know you can’t go wrong with Tostitos® chips and Salsa and I mean, who doesn’t love Doritos®.
Whether you’re gifting your basket to family, friends, or neighbors, by adding so many different options to your basket, there is sure to be something for everyone!
Finishing Touches
While these are totally optional, I feel like they add the perfect finishing touches to the Ultimate Tailgating Gift Basket. Before I added in my snacks, I found this cute little ‘turf’ to line the bottom of the basket since it went perfectly with my football theme. I also decided to add a few cups, plates, and napkins to ‘complete’ the basket. That way, your recipient can dig right into the basket as soon as they receive it!
