It’s no secret that toddlers can be picky eaters and mine are no exception to the rule. That said, it’s so important to teach my boys healthy eating habits while they’re young. If it were up to them, they’d eat sweets all day long so I try to make mealtime fun. In an effort to get them excited about eating healthier, I came up with these fun breakfast toast faces using Arnold Organic White made with Whole Wheat Bread.

Since my boys are such picky eaters, I have to get creative in the kitchen to ensure that they get the nutrients that they need. Thankfully, it didn’t take much convincing to get my boys excited to have a slice of thanks to Disney’s Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse on the packaging. Arnold Organic White made with Whole Wheat Bread is made with whole wheat and provides a good source of Vitamins A, D, & E with whole grain listed as the first ingredient.

Since they were already excited to try a slice of Arnold Organic White made with Whole Wheat Bread, I decided to keep it simple, yet fun and create these fun breakfast toast faces. Not only do these breakfast toast faces provide an opportunity for my boys to try a variety of flavors and combinations, but it also gives them an opportunity to get involved and make their own fun faces.

To make your own fun breakfast toast faces you only need a few ingredients: Arnold Organic White made with Whole Wheat Bread, Peanut Butter (Almond Butter is great too!), and tons of fruit, nuts, and veggies cut into different shapes and sizes. I like to keep the toppings simple and fresh and give my boys the opportunity to try different types of fruits and veggies.

My boys are both huge animal lovers so their first instinct was to create fun animal faces with each of the ingredients. Since they have such a love for animals, I like to remind them about how important it is to take care of our environment so that our animals can continue to thrive on the planet. Arnold Organic White made with Whole Wheat Bread is perfect for these fun breakfast toast faces since they pride themselves on being baked with renewable wind energy for a great taste that’s sustainably baked.

Some of our favorite toppings to use are organic strawberries, bananas, blueberries, grapes (sliced in half), mangos, kiwi, cherry tomatoes, and cucumber slices.

While these fun breakfast toast faces are perfect for the boys, I also like to create an adult version to enjoy. For my adult version of this fun breakfast toast, I like to add chia seeds, honey, avocado, almonds, and spices. Other great options for a base for the adult version are cottage cheese, hummus, and cream cheese.
