I’ve known about Care.com for years, but I never considered trying it out myself – until now.

This post is brought to you in partnership with Care.com

Since starting my blog in 2017, I’ve been slowly learning how to find a work/life balance as a mompreneur. It has been a challenge caring for my children while trying to grow my blog.Over the last year many moms have found themselves managing their career while caring for their children, and it is safe to say that we all have been struggling to find a work/life balance.

As a wife, mom, and mompreneur, I’ve had to accept the fact that it’s okay to need a little help from time to time. I have decided it’s a good time for me to start searching for a nanny to help care for my children. I’ve known about Care.com for years, but I never considered trying it out myself – until now.

Initially I thought Care.com was solely used to find a nanny or sitter for date night, but Care.com provides a variety of services from sitters, to senior care and housekeeping. That said, there are a ton of services that moms can utilize such as: before and/or after school care, full or part-time nannies, tutors and help with remote learning, and of course, a one time sitter for date night.

Since creating my own Care.com profile and posting my first job listing, it’s become pretty clear that Care.com is a great resource for moms like me, who are struggling to juggle it all. Here is more about my experience.

Posting my first job listing was super easy. To start, I simply selected the type of care that I needed. You can choose from childcare, senior care, pet care and home care. Since I’m looking for a nanny I selected childcare. Next, you enter the specifics such as when I’d need childcare, my location, the number of children I need childcare for.

Next I included additional responsibilities such as light housekeeping and laundry and I can also choose qualities that I would like my ideal caregiver to have such as CPR/First Aid training and being comfortable with pets. Then I selected a range of how much I’d like to pay per hour. Next, Care.com shows me my listing and I’m able to edit the job title and description to my liking and I’m all set.

Within 20 minutes of posting my first listing, I had a nanny respond to my application. Thanks to the premium membership I’m able to message her and any other caregiver I’m interested in booking until we find the perfect fit. I also love that 100% of caregivers on the platform have been background checked  and I am able to pay my caregiver online.

It’s easy to see that with Care.com moms can still ‘have it all’, and I’m excited to find a nanny that is the perfect fit for our families needs. If you’re like me and need a little help every now and again you definitely want to check out the many helpful services that Care.com provides.
