You’ve attended Meet the Teacher, bought all the supplies, and have the most picture-perfect first-day-of-school outfit ready to go, but that all too familiar tinge of anxiety starts to set in. Sure, your little one is excited, and maybe even a little nervous, but you’ve been sure to give them that comfort that only mom can give as they prepare for a new (or maybe even their first) school year.
No matter how many children you have in school, those first-day jitters can sometimes get the best of us. Luckily, we don’t have to be anxious for anything, but instead with prayer and supplication we can make our request made known to God and he will give us peace.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

In an attempt to quiet my own heart and trust that the Lord will be with my children as they navigate a new school year with a new teacher, new friends, and new lessons to learn, I created these back-to-school prayers. These prayers are quick, easily customizable to your child or children, and most importantly, each prayer is based on a specific bible verse.
For the sake of simplicity in sharing the prayers with you guys, I generalized them for ‘every child’, but you can easily write in your child’s name or any other customization by downloading the free printable.
So without further ado, below are 10 back-to-school prayers that you can pray as your little one embarks on a brand-new journey at school.
