Back-To-School season is in full swing and I’m all about zero stress meals during the week! Getting out of the house in the morning used to be complete chaos and it was tough making sure the kids had a balanced breakfast that they could either eat quickly or grab and go eat in the car.

So I decided to take a couple of the things my kids love the most, roll them all up into a delicious Pillsbury Crescent Roll and these easy breakfast roll ups were born! You can find Pillsbury Crescent Rolls, and most of the ingredients for these roll ups in the dairy aisle.

These breakfast roll ups have been a total game changer for our family and a major time saver for our back-to-school morning routine! What I love the most is that they can be prepped ahead of time and they can cook either in the oven or the air fryer.

Here’s what you need to make these Easy Breakfast Roll Ups:

  • Pillsbury Butter Flake Crescent Rolls
  • Sausage Links (pre-cooked)
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Eggs (scrambled)
  • Maple Syrup
  • Parsley (optional for garnish)

Prepping The Breakfast Rollups

My favorite thing about these breakfast roll ups is that they can actually be prepped the night before. Prepping them ahead of time has been a total game changer. By prepping in advance you save so much time in the mornings and they can be cooled off and ready to go by the time your kids are ready for the day!

To prep the breakfast rolls, grab your eggs, season according to your preference, scramble and set eggs aside to cool.

Next grab your fully cooked sausage links and set them aside. Although no prep is required since they are fully cooked, sometimes I like to brown them in a skillet before adding to my rollups!

Next, grab your cheese and if preparing the same day, go ahead and grab your parsley and set it aside.

Making the Breakfast Roll Ups

To create the breakfast roll ups, grab a can of Pillsbury Butter Flake Crescent Rolls and unroll them on a baking sheet. Pillsbury Crescent Rolls have been a staple in our family for years and I love that there are so many different ways to prepare them.

Once your crescent rolls are unrolled on your baking sheet, brush a layer of maple syrup. Then, on the widest end of each crescent roll, add a spoonful of eggs, sprinkle with shredded cheese, and add the sausage link.

Once done, roll the crescent dough from the widest end to the most narrow end.

If preparing on the same day, place into your preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Next, sprinkle the top of each crescent roll with parsley and let cool.

If preparing the night before, cover prepared rolls with plastic wrap and place them in the fridge overnight.

The following morning, preheat your oven to 375 degrees and melt butter. Remove prepped roll ups from the fridge and brush with butter. Bake for 12-14 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with parsley.

Air Fryer Instructions

Once your breakfast roll ups are prepped, spray your air fryer basket with non-stick spray. Next, add your breakfast roll ups (be sure not to place them too closely together), and air fry on 345 degrees Fahrenheit for 5 minutes (checking halfway).

Once they are done, carefully remove them from the air fryer (tongs work best), sprinkle them with parsley, and let them cool for 5-10 minutes before you let the kids dive in!

There you have it!

Easy, breakfast roll ups that can be prepped the night before and made in the oven or the airfryer. These roll-ups are a wonderful back-to-school breakfast option and will surely be a hit with your little ones!

So the next time you’re at the store, head to the dairy aisle and grab some Pillsbury Crescent Rolls so that you can give these easy Breakfast Roll Ups a try!
