THE ONLY TOOL YOU NEED TO GET MORE DONE AS A SAHM: FEATURING THE 2018 CLASSIC PLANNER FROM HORACIO PRINTING

*I received the 2018 Classic Planner from Horacio Printing in exchange for an honest review, however, all opinions are my own.*

Tis The Season To Be Inspired!

If you’re on my email list then you know that December is all about productivity, planning, and goal setting here on the blog.

Not on the list? No worries! You can sign up right here!

I don’t know about you but the transition to becoming a stay-at-home mom has been a S T R U G G L E. Although I have gotten better at sticking to a schedule (for the most part), since I’ve started blogging full-time, it can be pretty frustrating to set certain goals and never seem to accomplish them.

With all that goes into being a wife and mommy, our personal needs and goals typically fall by the wayside as we strive to serve our families to the best of our abilities.

However, it’s important that we have an identity OUTSIDE of our numerous titles as wifes, mothers, daughters, and friends.

In order to be the productive, organized, efficient, and present mama’s that we aspire to be, we have to know what it is that WE need to work on and strive each day to improve.

In my never-ending quest to become a more efficient wife, mom and mompreneur, I’m always looking for tools and methods to become more organized and set S.M.A.R.T. goals.

If you aren’t familiar with S.M.A.R.T goals, it’s simply a neat little acronynm that you can use as a guideline when setting goals.

S.M.A.R.T stands for

Specific

Measurable

Achievable

Relevant

Time-Bound

I became familiar with S.M.A.R.T goals back in undergrad and it really stuck with me over the years.

When setting goals you want to be specific not only in setting the goal itself but by also being specific in what reaching your goal actually looks like.

This is why many of us, myself included, never seem to actually accomplish many of our ‘bigger’ goals.

Whether you’re a wife, mom, mompreneur – or all of the above, I’m super excited to share an AMAZING product with you guys that will help you boost your productivity and reach your goals in the new year!

Allow me to introduce you to the 2018 Classic Planner from Horacio Printing.

First of all, let me say that this planner is absolutely beautiful but before we get into this AMAZING planner, let me tell you a little bit about the company behind it.

Horacio Printing is a Christian brand who has set out on a mission to help individuals unlock their inner artist and connect with their God-given purpose.

One of my favorite things about Horacio Printing, besides the planner itself, is that 10% of each purchase goes towards A21

A21 is an anti-human trafficking organization dedicated to abolishing the horrific crimes of sex trafficking, forced labor, and other forms of slavery around the world.

Beautiful Planner + Awesome Cause = WIN/WIN

The planner came so neatly packaged inside of it’s very own dust bag. It also came with a super cute (& durable) book mark with golden accents. There was also a card with Psalm 65:11 on one side and a sweet Thank You note from the founder, Polly, on the opposite side.

The Classic 2018 planner is in a weekly format and goes from January to December of 2018. It boasts premium thick paper which means no bleed throughs and comes with a handy elastic strap to keep everything together.

“You Own The Year With Your Goodness And Your Paths Drip With Abundance.”
Psalm 65:11

The pictures seriously don’t do this planner justice! It definitely seems durable enough to withstand an entire year of planning PLUS some!

This is super important to me because I know that one way or another, my son will get his grubby little hands on it. Since the cover is so sturdy, I’m 99% certain that it can handle a little toddler wear and tear.

The front cover has a sleek little pocket perfect for holding small notes that you haven’t had time to jot down in your planner yet.

I also LOVE that the first page says “This Year Belongs To“!

It sets such an empowering tone for the rest of the planner!

Next you’ll find a super sweet Welcome message from Polly and Her Planner Crew and then the real fun begins.

The next page features an exercise called Dream Planning. It a great reminder about how 2018 is full of new opportunities and it  encourages you to write out a few of your own dreams for 2018.

Next you’ll be prompted to assess your personal growth to see what you can improve upon in 2018 with a Personal Growth exercise.

You’ll be challenged to think about the person that you aspire to become across 8 different aspects of your life: Spiritually, Physically, Relationally, Professionally, Financially, and Personally.

Once you finish the personal growth exercise, you’ll be prompted to determine which actions you’ll take over the next three months to achieve your goals.

I absolutely love that it encourages you to plan three months ahead. By planning at least 90 days in advance, you give yourself the opportunity to develop new habits every quarter

It’s a phillosophy that I also use to stay organized in my business. By planning content in advance, I give myself an opportunity to really focus on how I can better serve my audience.

Next, you’ll want to refer back to your bucket list you made earlier during the dream planning exercise. Pick three of your BOLDEST dreams and list three-to-four actionable steps that you can take to accomplish those goals.

I absolutely love that Polly and her Team encourage you to dream BIG and show you how to make practical strides in your efforts to reach your goals.

The next exercise, and the one I’m probably most excited about is called the Refocus Cloud

This exercise prompts you to list your obligations, major focuses in this season, and your passions. Next, you’ll list the things that distract you and steal your time.

Then you’ll be encouraged to plan your weeks by intentionally carving out time for your passions and eliminating distractions.

I CANNOT wait to do this exercise! It’s a great way to really see what you’re focusing on and how you can better manage your time.

Not to mention that it’s a brilliant exercise for all my fellow Mompreneur’s out there.

The generosity planning and heart check exercises are hands-down some of the most unique features hidden within this planner.

Continuing in the fashion of quarterly planning, you’ll be prompted to get specific about who you’re praying for, what you’re making more time for, and what you are budgeting for this season.

Then you’ll be encouraged to acknowledge the things you need to let go of, the people you need to forgive and the fears that are holding you back this season.

What a THOROUGH way to start 2018 right?

It’s a great way to really gauge where you are currently and where you want to go in 2018.

And what better way to go forward than to acknowledge your fears in this There Is No Fear In Love exercise. Simply list five of your fears and find a bible verse that conquers that fear!

Not sure where to start? Just check out a few of the bible verses sprinkled throughout the planner.

Now let’s get into these amazing Monthy and Weekly layouts…

But First, take a look at this beautiful 2018 12 month layout!

SO chic!

Additionally, before each month, there is space for a seasonal prayer as well as another refresh exercise, the generosity exercise and the heart check.

Back to the Monthly and Weekly layouts…

I love that the Monthly and Weekly planner layouts are a blank canvas for you to fill in however you’d like.

A goal of mine is to be more intentional with my time, my relationships, and with my business so I love that the weekly layout has a section for you to list your intentions for the week.

At the end of each month, there’s a section for notes and praise reports. Actively utilizing these sections throughout the month are great ways to remain aware of your goals and acknowledge your wins!

And there you have it

WAIT there’s more!

No, really!

There is!

In the very back of the planner, Polly and her team put together a few extra resources to help you as you strive to become organized and set your goals in motion.

In addition to the Dream In All Directions exercise, there is a Projects section that encourages you to map out your big projects and goals throughout the year.

As I stated earlier, a huge reason why so many of us fail to reach our goals is because we don’t have an accurate depiction of what that actually looks like for us.

Well, this exercise does just that by prompting you to write out your desired outcome, your why, and how you plan to measure your success.

Next, break your goal down into three stages and break those stages down further into small actionable steps, referred to as stages or checkpoints.

There are at least 8 copies of this prompt in the back of the planner so it’ll be awesome to look back and see just how much you’ve accomplished, along with the steps that you took to make it happen.

A couple of blank pages close out this planner and I am head over heels in love with how well-thought out it is. The exercises are brilliant and truly walk you step-by-step through the goal-setting process.

The 2018 Classic Planner retails for $40.00 USD.

I am soo excited to start using this planner and doing these exercises!

I don’t know about you but I have some HUGE goals set for 2018 and with this planner, I’m feeling pretty unstoppable.

One of my goals for the new year is to master the art of working smarter and not harder and not just in business, but in marriage and motherhood too!

  1. Thank you for sharing. I like that planner. I will be honest, the planner that I scrambled to purchase last year, for 2017 and it was not used by the last half of this year. I am so disappointed that I bought that planner and didn’t use it for the entire year. I am trying my best to adapt myself to using a planner. I just write my life in a booklet. I need help in this area and badly. Thank you again for sharing.
