Breaking Through A Weight Loss Plateau is a mini blog series that will document my journey to getting back on track with my fitness goals and was created in partnership with “ Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion. As always, all opinions are my own.

If you’re new to my Breaking Through A Weight Loss Plateau series, be sure to check out part I to learn about why I chose to share this journey and part II to see what I’ve learned so far.

If you’ve been following along with this series then you know that I decided to try out Joel’s revolutionary diet in hopes of finally breaking the dreaded weight-loss plateau that I had been experiencing for the past 3 months.

So today I am happy to report that I am actually down a couple of lbs and a few inches since starting this journey! I’m proof that Joel’s techniques and strategies work! The best part: I haven’t had to starve myself OR cut out my late-night snacks to see results!

We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.

As someone who LOVES her carbs, this was a game changer for me.

Another thing that I love about the book is that Joel doesn’t just give you advice and leave you hanging. He also has a bunch of delicious, easy to follow recipe ideas to help you stay on track. One of my favorite recipes to date are the delicious Stuffed Bell Peppers! They are so hearty and filling and the recipe makes enough that my hubby and I have leftovers.

If you thought this was a book full of bland recipes, think again! Don’t take my word for it – check out a few of the recipe images:

Another gem I found in the book and have added to my morning regimen has been the lemon water. Joel describes it as “One of the simplest 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals, lemon water is a glass of water mixed with the juice of one half of a lemon. This drink provides all the benefits of regular drinking water, which supports weight loss, digestive health, physical performance, and cognitive function.”

I have to admit, this is the first time in a while that I’ve felt excited about sticking to a plan and hopeful about seeing results! Not to mention, I’ve learned so much about diet, metabolism, and IF (intermittent fasting).
