A HUGE Thank You To Bitsy Boxes for sponsoring this review!

All opinions are my own!

I’m sure that I’m not alone when I say that keeping your toddler entertained when you have a newborn is…um…well…challenging to say the least.

Although my two-year-old has gotten pretty used to seeing his baby brother every day, he hasn’t yet figured out why mom and dad always seem sooo preoccupied his brother.

As you may have guessed, this has caused him to act out a bit.

While there isn’t any real sibling rivalry going on, I do think that my oldest is finding it difficult to come to terms with the fact that it isn’t all about him anymore.

To be honest, I’m still adjusting to life with two littles.

As much as I’d love to spend time creating Pinterest worthy activities for my oldest, I simply don’t have the time with a newborn to care for.

After a couple of frustrating days, I decided that I needed to find ways to keep my toddler entertained so that he wouldn’t feel the need to act out for attention.

So far we’ve tried…

Getting Outside Daily

Sounds great in theory right?

My 2-year-old has a ton of energy so this does help.

BUT

We can’t sit outside all day, ya know?

Besides, what will we do when it gets cold? Or starts raining?

Fostering His Creativity

Although I’m not the craftiest person, I absolutely encourage painting, coloring, sidewalk chalk…

You name it!

Sadly, these things only hold his attention for so long, and the next thing you know, there’s crayon on the wall.

Resorting to television

As much as I hate to admit it, I’ve resorted to television.

Yup.

As long as it’s educational, it’s fair game.

While I’m not one of those mamas that’s completely opposed to technology, I do get a twinge of mom guilt when the television is on for too long.

Each of these activities combined, along with some quality time with mom and dad, have definitely made a difference in his behavior.

However, I still felt like something was missing.

Then I learned about the Bitsy Box!

Another unique characteristic of Bitsy Boxes is that their subscription is actually a discovery service.

This is evident in box for my 2-year-old.

Each item is focused on discovery, learning, and polishing those fine motor skills.

My 2-year-old was extremely fascinated with each of the products in his box, and I loved that he was able interact with each product in a unique way.
