One Month Blog Progress Report

I can’t believe it’s already been a month since I’ve launched The Millennial Stay-At-Home Mom Blog. I must say, it has been a whirlwind of a journey. I’m so glad that I finally took the plunge and launched. 

I’ve been given so many amazing opportunities already and I’ve discovered the amazing mom blogging community. I’ve truly met some extraordinary women in this short time. 

I know it may be weird to share my blog’s progress – especially so early on – but it’s posts like these that encouraged me when I was doing my research on starting my blog.

It’s my hope that these monthly progress reports are encouraging and that they show you that it is possible to launch a successful blog – from scratch.

Althought, it’s a lot of work, it’s extremely fulfilling.

Blog Traffic

# of Pageviews 2,755

# of Users – 1,086

I’m so proud of these stats! When I launched I was hoping for at least 100 views. I never thought in a million years that I’d get 1000 – let alone 2,755. 

I was also happy to see that I had a decent amount of returning users!

Before I launched I had 9 posts up on my blog(one of which I deleted). 

Since then, I’ve managed to publish 10 more posts! This is huge! My goal was to post at least twice a week and I’m proud to have accomplished that.

Social Media

I’ve learned very quickly how powerful social media can be. This month I focused mainly on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest but I’ve also managed to grow my Twitter profile a little bit too. 

I also wanna note that I started my Facebook and Twitter pages from zero. My Instagram and Pinterest pages weren’t new and had 642 and 72 followers respectively.

As far as Pinterest goes, there’s A LOT that I still have to learn but I’m pleased with my progress so far.

I’ve joined a bunch a group boards and I even created my own! I also deleted a bunch of old boards, enabled rich pins, and created board covers. 

I believe that to be successful with Pinterest, it’s all about consistency, so I’m excited to see where my numbers are next month. 

Email List

Before I launched my blog, I created a landing page where people could subscribe to be notified once my site was live. 

I only got 8 subscribers during that time (mostly family) but I’m glad I already had my email list up and running. 

As of September 20th, I have a total of 121 subscribers and I couldn’t be happier. 

I believe this was possible mostly because of the different freebies and opt-ins I have on my site. 

I use Convertkit as my email provider and I couldn’t be happier with their service. I absolutely love that I’m able to easily create so many different forms and sequences. 

Blogging and don’t have an email list? 

Start one right away! There are so many reasons to have an email list that I could dedicate an entire post to it. 

However, if you’re interested in starting one, try out Convertkit! I’m almost positive that you’ll love them just as much (if not more) than I do.

I didn’t anticipate to have 100 subscribers for a long time so to have already hit that goal is an amazing feeling!

Blog Income

While I know many bloggers share their income reports on posts like these, I’ve opted not to share my exact numbers. 

However, I will share that I’ve made over $200 this month and I pretty darn excited about that. 

My income for this month was made up of affiliates, ads, and sponsored posts. 

In the future I may consider sharing more specifics but I’d most likely only do so via my email list so if you haven’t subscribed be sure that you subscribe at the end of this post.

Goals For Next Month

• Double My Blog Traffic
• Continue To Post Twice A Week
• Double My Followers On Social Media
• Gain at Least 50 New Subbies
• Double My Income

Final Thoughts

I can honestly say that all my hard work actually seems to be paying off. I’m so glad that I took the time to properly research, create, and launch my blog. 

I never would’ve fathomed that I’d be blessed with the opportunities that I’ve been given. 

Speaking of, a few days ago I found out that I was chosen as one of the Top 30 Millennial Mommy Bloggers and I was ranked at #10!

I will warn you though, it’s a ton of work and it isn’t for the faint of heart but it’s so worth it.
