I whipped up these BBQ Chicken Sliders around Labor Day and they were the perfect way to enjoy some delicious bbq chicken before the summer ended. Not to mention, this recipe is one of my signature 5 ingredients or less recipes making it super simple and easy to prep. That said, the star of these sliders is this delicious Pineapple Bacon Jam.

First Make This Delicious Pineapple Bacon Jam

This Pineapple Bacon Jam is essentially a one-skillet dish and features the delicious flavors of onions, bacon, pineapple, and more. So be sure to grab the recipe and whip some up before you get started on the sliders. Not to mention, you will definitely have some leftover and when stored properly, this bacon jam can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 weeks – if it lasts that long! Grab the recipe here!

Bacon Jam is such a versatile and delicious spread and the addition of pineapple adds a pleasant richness to this savory jam.

Once you’ve made your bacon jam, it’s time to assemble your bbq chicken sliders. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

How To Assemble The BBQ Chicken Sliders

Take your King’s Hawaiian Original Sweet Rolls and remove the top half from the bottom and set aside. Next, in a medium-sized bowl, add your bbq sauce to your grilled chicken (or your can use shredded rotisserie chicken). Once your chicken is well coated, spread it over the bottom half of your rolls. If your chicken and pineapple bacon jam are already warm, top with shredded red cabbage and the top half of the Hawaiian Rolls.

If your chicken and bacon jam aren’t already warm, place your sliders in the oven, without the top half for 5-8 minutes. Then top with your shredded red cabbage and the top half of the Hawaiian rolls.

To make these bbq chicken sliders easy to grab, add a few cocktail toothpicks to hold them together and enjoy!

To store, place sliders in an airtight container & store them in the fridge for up to 2 days. I highly recommend using a glass container if possible, but no matter what container you use, make sure that it’s air-tight!

Just like that, you have delicious, easy BBQ chicken sliders with Pineapple Bacon Jam that are perfect for your next summer gathering!
