Preparing The Cinnamon Brown Sugar Topping:

In a small bowl combine melted butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar and mix until well combined.

Pour your banana bread batter into a loaf pan and smooth the top. Using a spoon, dollop the cinnamon brown sugar topping in various spots on top of the batter. Using a toothpick, create a swirl-like design across the top of your batter. Don’t worry, there’s no perfect way to do this. It’ll still turn out perfect!

Once you’re happy with your swirled topping, pop the banana bread into the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Once done baking, remove the banana bread and allow it to sit in the pan for 10 minutes before popping it out of the loaf pan and onto the cooling rack.

Allow the banana bread to cool completely (at least 1 hour) before cutting into it. Trust me, I know you’ll want to dig in right away, but it must cool properly to get the perfect slice!

Storage and Reheating Instructions:

The best thing about banana bread is that it’s just as delicious when stored and enjoyed the next day:

To store at room temperature:

  • Allow the banana bread to cool completely, and then place in an airtight container or wrap it tightly in foil and store at room temperature (on the counter) for up to 3 days.

To store in the fridge:

  • Once the banana bread is completely cooled, store in an airtight container or a ziplock bag, making sure to remove as much air from the bag as possible, and store it in the fridge for up to a week.

To store in the freezer:

  • Once the banana bread is completely cooled, cut the bread into individual slices, wrap each slice in plastic wrap, and place them in a freezer-safe bag. Label the bag with the date and freeze it for up to three months!

Reheating banana bread the right way can prevent it from drying out and ensures that you enjoy a moist, delicious slice every single time.

To reheat from room temperature:

  • Warm up an individual slice for 10 seconds in the microwave for that fresh out of the oven temperature.

To reheat from the fridge:

  • Remove an individual slice from the fridge and allow it to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes. Then warm up that slice in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.

To reheat from the frozen:

  • Remove an individual slice from the freezer and allow it to sit at room temperature for a minimum of 3 hours and heat for 20-30 seconds in the microwave.
  • You could also place the frozen slice in the fridge overnight. Then, follow the instructions above for reheating from the fridge.
