As a mom of three kids, I can’t even begin to explain how much money I’ve spent on baby yogurt melts from popular baby brands.

Aside from money spent, I started paying closer attention to the ingredients in most baby food and baby food products. Most popular baby food versions of these contain tons of unnecessary ingredients like dyes, and preservatives, while these are completely natural and just as delicious.

These toddler yogurt melts are one of 5 ingredients or less recipes, and you only need a few other supplies from your kitchen to make them! In addition to the recipe itself, you will also need a food processor, parchment paper, and a baking sheet.

You can also use a silicone mold like this one or this one to make your yogurt bites into cute, kid-friendly shapes.

How To Prepare The Homemade Yogurt Bites:

Once you have all of your ingredients, it’s combine all of the ingredients into a puree.

PRO TIP: be sure to chop your strawberries into smaller pieces to reduce the possibility of any clumps or lumps and for a smoother puree.

Once all of your ingredients are completely combined into a smooth puree, pour it into an icing bag to make it easy to pipe out tiny ‘dots’ for your melts. This also works well when piping it into silicone molds.

You can also use a small, unused medicine syringe to pipe out your puree. This may take a bit longer since you can only fit so much inside at a time but it’s definitely a much cleaner process. Alternatively, you can also spoon the puree mixture onto parchment paper or the silicone mold. A bit messier but definitely gets the job done!

When using a parchment-lined baking sheet, pipe directly onto the parchment paper leaving just a tiny bit of space in between each yogurt melt.

Once done, place your silicone mold or parchment-lined baking sheet in the freezer and freeze for two hours and you’re done!

If you have any puree left over, simply store it in the fridge until the first batch is frozen. Puree stored in the fridge should be good for 2-3 days if stored properly.

Once done, store in an air-tight glass container and enjoy!

While yogurt melts tend to melt pretty quickly, be sure to keep an eye on your little ones while they are eating them.

Just like that, you have delicious, homemade yogurt melts that are just as healthy and they are yummy!

How To Store Your Homemade Yogurt Melts:

Place sliders in an airtight container immediately after removing them from the parchment paper/silicone mold. I highly recommend using a glass container if possible, but no matter what container you use, make sure that it’s air-tight! Store in the freezer for up to one week for maximum freshness!

You may be able to stretch this to the two-week mark, but your little one is sure to love these homemade yogurt bites so they may not last that long.

Can I use a different fruit instead of strawberries?

You can totally use a different fruit instead of strawberries in these homemade yogurt melts! Bananas are an awesome option and you could even combine them with strawberries to make strawberry banana yogurt melts. You could also use apple sauce for an apple flavor and for added natural sweetness!

Alternative Sweetener Options:

It is not recommended that babies under 12 months have honey due to the risks of infant botulism – an extremely rare illness that has the potential to be fatal.
